GCS Marching on Turkey Day
For the first time in Houston history (to my knowledge) a Drum & Bugle Corps is marching in the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in Downtown. The GCS staff has discussed this for years, but this is the first time we've actually acted on it. The Corps will be on live television Thanksgiving morning for a local and regional audience. Immediately after the parade the Corps is giving a short concert for the Super Feast, Houston's way of feeding the less fortunate.
The Corps will be wearing our old uniforms. This is the last appearance of the Corps in these uniforms. New and guests members need to come in a plain white t-shirt (no logos or colors), black trousers or slacks, black marching shoes, and black socks. The Corps will provide the jackets, guantlets, and tartan. We're not using hats this time. For information of the Guard unifrom please contact the Corps.
