     Gulf Coast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps, based in Houston, Texas, is starting its fourth year this November. After an incredible few years of growth, the Corps has firmly established themselves in the Drum Corps Associates and DCA South circuits. GCS experimented with the concept of indoor Drum & Bugle Corps for 2 years with tremendous success. 2004 saw the Corps makes its debut as a full competing unit. In 2005 we plan to raise the bar and make a run for the DCA Class A Championship title.

     Membership is open to applicants of any age. Previous Drum Corps or high school and college marching band experience is highly recommended, but not required.  The desire to achieve greatness and entertain crowds across the country is required!

     Gulf Coast Sound will attend the DCA Championships in Pennsylvania over Labor Day weekend in 2005.  We want you there performing with us! The Corps will also be performing across Texas, in the newly formed DCA South circuit, as well as in the Mid-West.

     If you're interested in being a part of this exciting venture and have the drive and determination to be a champion we want you on board.

     The GCS staff has designed a very reasonable schedule.  The Corps rehearses an average of twice a month and all rehearsals and performances take place on weekends.  This schedule allows members with school, family, and career obligations to be part of a top-caliber Drum & Bugle Corps.
