      Represent your Corps at the14th Annual All-Star Drum Corps Mardi Gras Weekend on Galveston Island.

      The Gulf Coast Drum Corps Associates and Gulf Coast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps are proud to host the event. Participation is open to past and present members of any drum corps. Previous All-Star Drum Corps have included members of the Hawthorne Caballeros, Carolina Gold, Cavaliers, Atlanta CorpsVets, Syracuse Brigadiers, Empire Statesmen, Erie Thunderbirds, Heat Wave, Racine Kilties, Madison Scouts, Mighty St. Joes, Minnesota Brass, Inc., Santa Clara Vanguard, Bayou City Blues, Dallas Frontier, Austin Stars, and many others.

 

    Nikki Nauck and Scott Miller are again running this event and it promises to be the best yet! We're making a concerted effort to keep the weekend more relaxed and fun than previous years. The most notable change will be the rehearsal and party. Instead of having it Friday evening as in past years, we're renting a beach house on Galveston Island and will host the rehearsal on Saturday on the beach (weather permitting). The party will follow, lasting until it's time to head to the parade.

 

    The uniform for the parade is blue jeans (no shorts), comfortable shoes (no sandals), and your Mardi Gras t-shirt. If the weather is cold we'll wear Corps jackets.

   

    The parade is 4 miles long and is entirely on the historic and scenic Galveston Seawall. The GCS trailer and chase vehicle will follow the All-Star Corps to provide water and a place to rest if you need to. We realize that this is a long parade and we will do our best to keep you safe and comfortable.
