TX Drum Corps Preview

Postby Paige Powell » Tue Jun 01, 2010 2:14 pm

I was looking at the calendar trying to get out of town this summer and was wondering if y'all are/who all is going? Is Frontier still marching? What ever happened to Austin Stars? And the kiddos, aren't there a couple DCI corps to play this year?

Just curious. I would love to get to Austin and need to support my corps of course!

Frontier has reorganized as The Vigilantes....they will be at the preview along with Forte which was formerly known as Memphis Sound. Not sure about Revolution and Austin Stars though.

It's Saturday, June 19. I'm not sure who is going this year.

Revolution is going to be there.

The Austin Stars are sort of inactive. The ASPAA is hosting the event. The event is taking place. Sat. June 19th. Capital building in Austin, just like last year. The ASPAA is host to other groups, ATX winterguard which is active. And most of that drumcorps was colorguard to start with. I'll have to check, but World Gone Mad the other Austin drumcorps should be there. I think the only one that couldn't make it is Genesis, a DCI open class corps due to a scheduling conflict.
