BAYBROOK MALL GIG

Postby Andrea McKinney » Tue Sep 22, 2009 4:37 pm

Just wanted to let you all know, I placed a call to the marketing director at Baybrook Mall in Friendswood (close to Clear Lake).

The marketing director informed me that they are no longer allowing Choirs/musical groups to perform due to acoustics.

This doesn't mean we couldn't try other malls, however, clear lake is out. Let me know what other malls you all would be interested in performing and I will call.

Just so you know...

You're welcome.

Do you want me to cold call all the malls in the Houston area? I can also check with the Galleria. Let me know....

Heck yeah. Go for it.

But, check in with Kelly. She may have already made some calls.

Thanks Andi. You rock!

Hi there Kelly,

I do have a list going. This is what I have so far:

Galleria: I called and left a message with the marketing person and sent an email through their site online. I haven't heard anything back. I did this on Wednesday (Sept. 23) If you want to follow up with that, the number is: 713.622.0663

These are the other malls and phone numbers. I haven't called these yet:

Memorial City 713.932.0076
West Oaks 281.531.1332
Northwest 713.681.0928
Greenspoint 281.875.4201

This is something that just dawned on me. We could also try the Market Square in the Woodlands.
We could also try:

Woodlands Mall
Sugarland Mall

Let me know what you want to take and I'll take the rest.
Thank you Kelly for your help!!!

We decided at the meeting that we really don't want to call Greenspoint, Northwest, or Sharpstown (not on your list). I would avoid those 3.

Thanks for doing this!

Thanks Michelle!
I'm glad you told me. I know those probably aren't the best/safest parts of town. We'll delete those off the list.

Albert, I'm assuming that Sugarland Town Square is different than Sugarland Mall? Correct?
Thanks

What is that place in cypress off 249 by HEB? It is pretty new, that might be an idea. Also, the outlet mall on 290 north of the Berry Center might be good to, I have never been there, but I know they were super-busy last holiday season. Might be a good place to try and draw in some out-of-town folks that may drive in from College Station or other smaller towns for the day.
