Recruiting

Postby Alex Schlueter » Mon Sep 14, 2009 4:13 pm

Just an FYI, The Woodlands High School will be having their Lone Star preview on October 17, I well be there and everyone is welcome to come and hang out. Andy, are you going to be there, and do you want me to bring all the recruiting stuff. Also the kids love looking at the horns. So if you want to bring yours, that will be nice.

One more thing, it will be held at the new stadium. Here are some directions on how to get there. If you are going north bound, exit onto Research forest drive and turn on to Tamina rode. Then turn left on to David Memorial Dr, the stadium should be on your right. I will be there helping out the band during their work shop before the show.
P.S. I LOVE THE MINI CORP SHOW

no I have not been working out, I have been doing home work 7 days a week. Also I have not hade any time to get out, but when October rolse around. I should have more time.

Jason if this is about the new show, then I will make time. Because, I didn't get to finish marching last year and I want to get better at my skills.

I did a little research and as best as I can glean, these are the marching band shows this winter. Not that I've seen such an animal since 1989. But I guess they still exist. I'm not sure which of these are near ya'all. Or even near me. It seems that MB is very offline even in this day and age. It's almost like trying to research a town in Maine on the internet. BOA, USSBA, UIL, and whatever other governing entities. I guess they're just not funded by ticket sales.

You should see what the TXDCP DVD is looking like at the moment. I've gone a little povray overboard. Unfortunately each intro animation takes half a day to render, for only 10 seconds(300 frames). I've still got to come up with 2 minutes 12 seconds for the credits to go along with that crossmen pit diddy. But I'm really liking how it's turning out so far. Using a different audio codec on this one really makes a difference too. You can almost hear the pit parts.

I will be working at BOA on October 3, and will probably have my jacket with me. Is there going to be a GCS booth there?

If we are planning a GCS recruiting booth, I can do 2-3 hours in the morning. Got to leave close to noon.

Andi, I am working with KKPsi. I'll be there all day, but I have no idea what time everything starts.

Okay, pardon my ignorance, but what does KKP stand for? The first band goes on at 8:00 A.M. . I believe the contest goes until 4 P.M.
