Recruiting Booth - Woodlands Marching Band Contest

Postby Andy Jurick » Wed Sep 29, 2010 10:49 am

We will be setting up a recruiting table at the Lone Star Preview contest in the Woodlands on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Woodforest Stadium. Times will be approximately 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. We will need a few people to help man the table and talk about GCS throughout the day. Please try to plan to spend an hour or 2 helping to fill the open spots in the corps.

Map link to the stadium is below:

Remember we will be recruiting out in the Woodlands this Saturday. Please see the above message for a map link.

Anyone who can spend a couple hours at the contest talking about GCS would greatly help.

REMEMBER - RECRUITING IS EVERYONE'S JOB!

See ya on Saturday!

Andy said it. Recruiting is everyone's job. When you wait for someone else to do the work, you spend 2 years off the field. Please come out tomorrow and help. Gabriel and I will be there shortly after 1200.

Yeah, but everybody means every body but me because I blah, blah, blah, right?

Wrong.

I'll be there this PM.

Thanks to Andy we made a good showing at The Woodlands show yesterday. Carole, Tom, and Gabriel were also on hand to help out. Saw a lot of people, collected some contacts, and ran into Robert Rose. Jacob Rose did a great job on tenors with Conroe HS.

Even though we will not be recruiting at any more band shows this Fall, recruiting remains key to our efforts to get back on the field next year. When we say that its everyone's job, and all the time, we mean exactly that. Please continue to get the word out about the exciting changes that are taking place with GCS. Bring friends to the next rehearsals.

GCS is YOUR corps.
