Please remember the date and time change for Monday, aug 31 at 1900. Also......

Didn't see too many people turn away from the music during that last run. Work this week to memorize. We will not be using stands in New York. MEMORIZE YOUR MUSIC.

This might already be common knowledge (I'm pretty sure that Steven was already planning on NOT hauling his set) - but just in case, Tom Peashey just posted this on DCP:

Yamaha Corporation - one of the primary sponsors of the DCA World Championships - has stepped in to help support the Mini Corps at their Championship next Friday, September 4th. To make logistics easier for the corps, Yamaha will set up a "high end" complete trap set for use by any of the mini corps in competition. This generous offer makes it unnecessary for groups traveling a long distance to transport a large percussion item.

At the conclusion of the show, the set will be turned over to one of the local school music programs at a severe discount - allowing the school to provide a high quality instrument for their students that normally, they could not afford.

Congrats to Yamaha for stepping up to the plate in this effort.

Hmm that sucks...
Seeing as my flight lands at 11:02....I guess I'll have to get a taxi. Unless somebody wants to come pick me up...
See y'all at rehearsal tonight.

You can try calling the hotel when you arrive, anyway.

Taxi service will cost you ~$17.
