On August 4, 2012, Gulf Coast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps was decommissioned as a competitive unit by the Gulf Coast Drum Corps Associates.

The Corps has not permanently folded and is being reorganized with new management and a new direction building on the rich history and traditions of Gulf Coast Sound.

Further information regarding future plans will be posted in the coming months.
