Reminders for tomorrow's Mardi Gras Galveston Seawall Parade:

Any and all are still welcome to march with us. We will provide instruments if you let us know ahead of time. The music is easy and can be downloaded from the Special Projects/Mardi Gras section of this forum. It's absolutely FREE and open to anyone who wants to have lots of fun.

Meet at the Walmart at 61st St. and Seawall Blvd. at 3:00pm. We will be transporting marchers to the assembly area starting promptly at 3:30pm. Latecomers will be on their own.

Uniform for Saturday and the next weekend will be Blue Jeans, Black GCS shirt and/or a black t-shirt. Tiger suits are discouraged. The weather should be good, so do not over-dress for warmth. What you bring to the start of the parade, you will have to carry to the end.

Can't make it tomorrow? We'll be at the Mardi Gras Galveston Strand parade on March 5. Details to follow for that parade.

Email me for more info at director@gulfcoastsound.org.

Also, if anyone has a spouse, significant other, enthusiastic parent, etc. who would like to help us walk the route with water and recruitment fliers, please bring them along. Besides this being a paying gig, this is a great opportunity to pick up a new member or 2 along the way!

I'm not going to make it this weekend(2/26), but I'm looking to make it on the 5th. The rabbits really did a number on the car this time. I've run out of wire to splice, so I'll be part hunting tomorrow (and rabbit hunting). Hopefully having a part with wire on it (if I find one), should afford a better opportunity to armor plate the damn thing. Ornery little things, still sitting on the engine block when I popped the hood.
