Uniform: "GCS MEMBER" white t-shirt, khaki shorts, tennis shoes. I will have shirts for the new guys. They're $10.

Map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=11050+dorrance+ln,+houston,+tx&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=49.490703,78.837891&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=11050+Dorrance+Ln,+Meadows+Place,+Fort+Bend,+Texas+77477&t=h&z=17

Silverado and Hip are in the Members Only section of the Forum. I'll get America posted soon. I will have quarter-sized copies of the music for everyone.

*This is a short, easy parade and concert. It's also a great fundraiser. We need everyone to participate.

Hello,

I see that the parade starts at 11:00 by what time should we be there ready to go? Do you know how long the parade is and the route? I'm trying to get as much information together to send out to possible guard wanting to join in. Any other info you guys can give will be helpful! I have 3 confirmed people coming. We will be at rehearsal Friday. Will the guard equipment be available for us? Are there rifles in the guard equipment?

Sorry for all the questions trying to spread correct information.

Melanie :)

The parade starts at 1. We're meeting at 11 to get ready.

I'll have all of the Guard (and Battery) equipment at RBC Friday night.

See ya there!

Melanie,

In the past, this parade has started on Dorrance where the marker is on the map Jason linked above. We go a mile or so down Dorrance, take a left on one of the streets a little past Meadows Elementary, and then take another left on Brighton and end where it dead ends at the park. It's probably about 2 miles.

Not too bad - and easier if the sun isn't beating down on us. Hope that helps!

The parade starts at 1. We are meeting at 11 to warm-up, rehearse, and get staged.

All color guard and musicians need to make plans to be there at 11, per the schedule. Honor Guard may opt to arrive at noon if they wish.

Melanie,

Don't know about rifles. We've had equipment disappear. Due to this, I think that most folks owned their own, so I wouldn't really count on the corps being able to provide those. We have flags and some poles. Do you by any chance know what flags you want to use? The blue and silver are the best ones we have even though they were used for rehearsal purposes.

Thanks for the responses! Very helpful. Carol those flags would be great. I was only thinking of the yellow ones, but those are much better. :)

Thanks to all past and present (and maybe a few future) members who came out today and supported the corps.
