Here's where we stand right now:

Brass
Sopranos - 5 Spots - 3 Confirmed (2 Holes)
Mellophones - 3 Spots - 2 Confirmed (1 Hole)
Baritones - 3 Spots - 3 Confirmed (No Holes)
Euphoniums - 2 Spots - 2 Confirmed (No Holes)
Contrabasses - 3 Spots - 4 Confirmed (No Holes)

We're planning to march 16 at this time. However, I would very much like to increase that number to 20 or 24. But, I'm perfectly happy with 16. We've crushed stadiums with less horns before and we'll do it again if need be.

Percussion
Still in the works. We should have 12-15 Battery and ~4 Pit. But, we're not turning anyone away. The more, the merrier.

Color Guard
There are about 6 that are confirmed and several more that have been in and out at rehearsals. We need more. LOTS more. Gustavo is a great instructor! Let's keep him busy!

WHAT WE NEED for 2010
To effectively compete this season we need several more Sopranos and Mellophones. We need 3 good horn players to complete the line. If we get more we'll adjust our numbers, but we must have at least 3.

In addition, we need as many Guard folks as we can find. Same for the Percussion. No one will be turned away. But, if you know of someone that is interested NOW is the time. We can't wait much longer... things are going to start happening FAST.

All-in-all I'm very pleased with where we are and where we're headed. It's taken a lot of work to get us to this point, but I believe that it will pay off... BIG TIME.
