"These Few..." - The NOLA Roster

Postby Jason Rose » Thu Feb 04, 2010 9:53 am

Please remember that everyone that wears the GCS star or wants to earn the GCS star has ownership of this Corps.

This is not my Corps.
This is not Tom's Corps.
This is not Carole's Corps.

GCS is YOUR Corps!

GCS will only be... can only be what YOU make it to be.

We must move past the point where the same few people do most of the work for everyone else. This is a team effort and everyone must take responsibility for their ownership and play their part.

I know that real life can often get in the way and sometimes there are very serious issues that we must deal with. I'm not referring to those of you in those positions.

If it is at all possible for you to join us, please make plans to do so and help YOUR Corps get on a stable financial footing to support the entire 2010 season.

--------

[Enter General Patton - Standing on the stage in front of the American flag]

"THESE FEW will make the difference in GCS 2010"
"THESE FEW will endure the hardship that will make it possible for everyone to participate this season"
"THESE FEW deserve everyone's respect, gratitude, and admiration"
"THESE FEW have earned my sincerest respect, gratitude, and admiration for going above and beyond the call of duty."
"It's my honor and privilege to join THESE FEW on the field of battle in New Orleans"

""Please consider joining us...

[Exit Patton]

...and join us few later on in the ER for oxygen infusions and muscle relaxers....

Seriously folks, Jason's right, we need more than just the "usual suspects" to turn out to make this organization a success. Please consider signing up for the NOLA weekend. Yes, it's not a walk in the park, but it's doing what we do best...play music and have fun!!!

Going to NOLA is amazing fun, the weekend flies by, the whole crowd is wild when we play---pretty cool to have little kids and old ladies dancing to GCS in the street. It is the most pumped-up crowd you will possibly ever play for, and if they win the superbowl...yikes!
